Certain foods tend to get stuck between the teeth and may require additional flossing. Food debris, left unattended, can lead to a build-up of plaque and, in turn, cause cavities.

Many foods that require a lot of chewing can be problematic but special attention should be paid to your teeth after consuming:

– Caramel or toffee candy and popcorn

– Spinach and broccoli

– Pineapple and mango

Although your dentist may recommend flossing just once a day “these foods may require extra flossing” but the benefits of fruit and vegetables outweigh any inconvenience. A full article on the subject can be read at https://yourdentalhealthresource.com/which-foods-require-additional-flossing/.
