Meet Dr. Harris Smeyatsky at OptiSmile
Dr. Harris Smeyatsky began his career at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1986 and served 2 years as a Dental Surgeon in the South African Defense Force before emigrating to the United Kingdom in 1988, where he worked at a private dental facility until he moved to Cape Town and joined the Optismile team.
During his time in the United Kingdom, Dr. Smeyatsky assisted patients with orthodontic treatments – including Invisalign. In total, Dr. Smeyatsky has treated over 300 patients using the invisalign system, and has recently achieved Platinum Status as an Invisalign Practitioner – which means that he’s treated between 41 and 80 patients using Invisalign within the last 12 months alone.
Dr. Smeyatsky is currently one of 2 practitioners in South Africa who have achieved Platinum status, and he is the only practitioner in Cape Town to accomplish this prestigious rating from Invisalign.
Invisalign have also recognised Dr. Smeyatsky’s experience with Vivera retainers, which use the same state-of-the-art digital scan technology used to make Invisalign aligners and offer a more precise and comfortable fit than regular retainers.
