I'm on holiday in Cape Town. I walk by this place everyday on the way to the gym. It all looks brand new, clean and very high tech. I was intrigued so asked for some prices which were reasonable especially compared to London. I decided to try it out and booked in for a clean. I was impressed with the level of service and how meticulous Dr Yudelman was. I liked it so much that I went back the next day to replace an old metal filling. Shame I don't have more time in Cape Town otherwise I'd be there a few more times. I rarely give anything 5 starts but this place gets my thumbs up

I had to book an appointment with Dr Yudelman in March for an urgent issue. I'm from France, living in San Francisco, CA but was traveling in Cape Town... It's probably the best dentist experience I never had, quick communication with the team to book my appointment, spotless facility, latest technology equipment, incredible views and lastly a very awesome Dr! He spent 30mn on my 3D X-Ray explain me the work who has to be done, took pictures of all my teeth with a professional equipment and sent me a email with all this... I had to do 1 filling urgently but ended up doing 2 more, during the whole procedure, Dr Yudelman checks on you, explains what he's doing, etc. All these little things change the experience from an average service to a stand out service. Let me put it this way, I'm thinking about keeping Dr Yudelman as my dentist and come all the way from San Francisco, he's not only the best dentist in Cape Town but probably one of the best worldwide! I had a dental emergency late at night and knew there was no way I could go to work and face the world in that state. I started searching online for a dental office in my area and stumbled upon Optismile.. .... boy was I lucky and in for a treat. I filled their online booking form and immediately got a WhatsApp message from the actual doctor. Time was about 22:00 we chatted about my issue and he immeditely booked me to come in for treatment. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly staff. I was even given a tour of the facility by the doctor. They worked on my smile and the results exceeded my expectation. The service is impeccable. I spoke to Juliet, literally the best assistant, who tried to assist in booking an appointment for my Impacted wisdom. The dentist could clearly see that my tooth was to close to the nerve by an X-ray I sent via what’sapp. They referred me to a specialist at a near by hospital instead of forcing a consultation to say the same. The best experience! I was visiting from Sydney, Australia and began having severe toothache. My sister recommended that I see her dentist, Dr Clifford Yudelman who saw me immediately. After a full scan/X-ray, he diagnosed an abscess inside an incomplete root canal. He referred me to an endodontist, Dr Tony Ashberg, who did a brilliant job of redoing the root canal, and treating the abscess. A return visit to OptiSmile and I was given the a clear. Just got my teeth cleaned! The dental hygienist was gentle, unrushed and caring. The dental-hygiene operatory was spacious and facing the ocean, the practice is spotless, modern and brimming with the most upto date dental technology. You could say I've tested almost much every aspect of dentistry there and I really can't emphasise how professional and meticulous Clifford and the Optismile team are. The dentist with whom I had my first consultation was thorough and excellent in her approach. What was most impressive however was her willingness to ask her colleague for a second opinion given the complex nature of the problem. For me, this is a sign of a true professional who collaborates with a colleague to come to the best outcome for the patient. Dr. Yudelman, the owner and colleague in whom the first dentist sought counsel, was equally thorough in his approach. Moreover, given that I am continuing on my travels along the Garden Route, he provided details for me to stay in touch with him in relation to my progress and if needs be, to arrange follow up treatment through a recommendation of his along the Garden Route. The service I experienced at this practice was nothing short of exemplary. I don’t believe you’d get better care or service anywhere in the world!I was a patient of Clifford Yudelman prior to moving from Sea Point to Montagu. I had an emergency 2 months ago and was unable to see the local dentist as fully booked but managed to get an appointment at a village close by.Problem not properly resolved and a week ago it flared up again…..badly! Waiting period to get back to see the previous dentist but when things got serious I contacted Clifford. I hadn’t seen him since prior to lockdown and even though I was 200km away he went out of his way to assist me, getting an appointment with the local dentist the same day, sending all my information on record through to the new dentists room and constant contact to keep me posted as things were unfolding. His prognosis was correct too and I’m now on strong antibiotics and know my problems will soon be a thing of the past.Clifford, I really can’t thank you enough for your help and outstanding care, and as I started off my review will end the same way….I don’t believe you’d get better care or service anywhere in the world! I can’t say enough about the professional quality of care I received here. Visiting the Dentist can be an anxious experience for some people but wait till you visit Optismile - it will leave you wanting to see your Dentist more often than not. Dr Yudelman's practice came highly recommended by a friend and after much deliberation, decided to book our appt. It turned out to be a very efficient and admin focused pre-appointment which eliminates the whole form completion process when you arrive at the practice. The appt booking is streamlined and the experience at the practice is clean, soft and open. Dr Yudelman is very professional and explains what he's doing and what to expect as he moves through the check up process. The receptionist is warm and welcoming and they have a very rigid hygiene process when you enter the practice, even giving you a free surgical mask to wear. The place feels like you're walking into a casual Scandinavian 'remote-working' environment. I loved it and cannot recommend it enough! Oh yes, and my teeth look great!
